Having been in Fashion Photography for 4 years, good quality make up and a skilled make up artists is an essential for a good image and less manipulation post processing. At some point where no make up artist is available and an emergency shoot needs to be done, or some private nude photoshoot where model requests as minimal individual on set, photographer should be able to do or atleast have the basic skills or know how to do make up.
Here are some of my shoot where i did the make up. Most of the time models are very reluctant to allow me to do the make up, might apply for some of the photographers but it is important to assure the model or the client that you will do your very best ability to make the images amazing!

so i suggest start learning how to do make up... its as almost the same as painting on canvas only the face is your canvas and make up stuff is your paint. Art is art: color, beauty and intrigue is ART!
